Mark Your Calendars

We've scheduled the C-section for January 11th!
Woo-hoo!
At 9:30 am on January 11th, we will finally welcome our sweet little baby girl! We can't wait to meet her.

'Tis the Season to be... Inflatable!

Kevin and I, along with The Horras Family, went to see a house in North Little Rock with 55 inflatables in their yard! Yep - 55!!! It was the tackiest thing I've ever seen, yet it really got me in the Christmas spirit!

Our Last Christmas

Kevin and I celebrated our last Christmas together just the two of us. I made a big dinner and we kept talking about how next year will be so different... but different in a good way. Although we're coming to the end of the Kevin and Darla era, we can't wait to start our new life with our sweet baby girl.

Christmas with the kids

My niece Jacie
My nephew Christian... it's his first Christmas!

Jacie and Avery getting ready to open gifts! AS you can tell, they were very excited!

Christmas with The Yarbroughs

Us with Grannie
Greg (Kevin's Brother) and Laurie
Emily and Lindsey
Us with Lindsey... she loves hugging and kissing on her baby cousin!

36 Week Update

Here we are at 36 weeks and Baby Yarbrough is still breech. We had an ultrasound done yesterday and she's pretty much standing straight up. The doctor said there is still a chance she could turn but we were probably looking at having a C-section. We will schedule the date next week when we go back and we'll keep you posted on what day we choose.

Camcorder Practice

Here we are practicing with our new camcorder so we can make sure we're ready for the BIG DAY!

Almost There...

Here we are at 35 weeks and I'm counting down the days. We went to the doctor yesterday and everything is still good. He wasn't able to tell how Baby Yarbrough was positioned so he said when we go back next Monday, we'll do an ultrasound to see what she's doing in there and decide if I need a C-section. For those of you begging to see belly pics, here's the latest. According to some, one word sums it up... BIG!!!

33 Week Check-up

We visited Dr. Hutchinson this week for our 33 week check-up and things are still looking good. We did find out that Baby Yarbrough is breech right now. Maybe that's why I'm always running to the bathroom... because she's standing on my bladder! Anyway, we'll see if she decides to turn in the next few weeks. If not, looks like we'll be having a C-section. That's ok though, as long as she comes out safe and healthy.

By the way, Kevin and I are officially those dorky parents... we bought a camcorder! Maybe I'll post some of our handywork soon.

Jacie's 2nd Birthday Party

My niece Jacie turned 2 this past weekend and we celebrated with the family. The funniest part of the party was when she busted out in tears when we started singing "Happy Birthday" to her. I guess she didn't like our singing.

These two may look sweet and innocent, but together, they are nothing but trouble!

Baby Showers Galore!!!

Over the past few weeks, Kevin and I have had 3 baby showers with various friends and family.

This is from a Family Shower my sisters threw me a few weeks ago at my house. We got a TON of gifts! Stacie and Tracie did a great job putting this together. Everything was so cute.

These pictures are from a shower given to us by the people that Kevin works with at Baptist. It was at Cheers in Maumelle. We had a great time and got a lot of really nice stuff, plus a lot of gift cards. Those will definitely come in handy when it comes to buying diapers! :)

Here's pictures from a shower thrown by the people I work with. We love any excuse to have a potluck! Everyone brought baby pictures of themselves and we all guessed who was who. There was a Bottle Chugging Contest and a Name That Flavor Contest where Kevin and I had to eat baby food. Needless to say, I was not a big fan! It still makes me gag!

31 Weeks and counting...

We had our 31 week checkup this morning and everything is still looking good. Baby Yarbrough is growing like a weed and packing the pounds on her mama! I can't believe I've only got less than 9 weeks to go. CRAZY! Anyway, here's the latest on the belly...

Grannie at the State Pageant

For those of you who have been following up, Kevin's grandmother participated in the State Beauty Pageant today at Embassy Suites. She competed against 8 other lovely (and spunky) ladies from around the state. One lady was 102 years young! Although Grannie did not take home the title of Queen, she did win a trophy for Mrs. Personality. We are so proud of her. Congratulations Grannie!

Baby Yarbrough Wins Her First Prize!!!

Every year, my office always has a Halloween costume contest so I decided Baby Yarbrough and I were going to dress up. I was a Chef and she was a Bun in the Oven. I'm proud to say we beat out the competition and won! Baby Yarbrough now has a savings account with $80 in it! Here's a few pics of the winning costume...
Here's a look inside to see if the Bun's ready. Looks like she needs a few more months!

4D Ultrasound

Kevin and I, along with Kevin's mom, went and had a 4D Ultrasound done this morning and we got a little peek at Baby Yarbrough. I hope you enjoy these as much as we did.

The ultrasound technician measured everything and said she's perfect. She also said she had a lot of hair, but no conclusive evidence on if she's a redhead or not. She weighs approx. 2 lbs. 11 oz. right now. She was VERY active during the ultrasound (as always) and was a good sport. She showed us all of her different faces... she smiled, yawned, frowned and at the end gave us a scowl to say she's had enough. We couldn't determine who she looked like more, me or Kevin. Either way, I think she's beautiful!

The Results Are In...

My doctor called with the results of my gestational diabetes test and fortunately I do not have it. However, I am a little anemic so he has put me on iron supplements. And in other news, we're having a 4D ultrasound this Friday. I can't wait and I will definitely post pictures. As for now, does anybody want to place any bets on if Baby Yarbrough will look like me or her daddy? :)

Couples Shower - October 20, 2007

Here's a few pictures from our couples shower from this past weekend. Thank you Eric and Paige, Kirk and Kim, Heather and Lance, and Eddie for hosting the shower. And thank you everyone who came and gave us some really great gifts. We appreciate it!

27 Week Update

By popular demand, here's the latest belly pics. My belly has definitely grown in the last few weeks. This may be the last picture you see of the actual belly. I mean, look at that thing! Goodness Gracious!

By the way, we went to the doctor yesterday for our 27 week checkup. Everything is still going great! I had to drink the yummy orange drink to test for gestational diabetes. The first sips were good, but then it became torture trying to get it down within the 10 minute window. But I succeeded without puking everywhere. We should know the results in a few days.

Toy Chest

One of my favorite pieces of furniture in Baby Yarbrough's room is the old toy chest Kevin had when he was a kid. I just think it's sweet that she'll have something he grew up with. Kevin repainted the toy chest and added new handles to make it a little more girly. He hates that I made him pose next to the toy chest but here's his work in progress.

The first coat of paint... one of many!
 Making progress...
SEVERAL coats later... the final product!

Lindsey's Soccer Game

I went to my niece Lindsey's soccer game this past Saturday at Murray Park. Her team WON 4 - 2!!! She seems to really like it and she loves her coach. I wish I had as much energy as she does. I can't wait to go to Baby Yarbrough's games. Maybe Kevin will be the coach! :)

Baby No-Name

A lot of you have been asking what Baby Yarbroughs name is and unfortunately, Kevin and I still have not decided. We have it narrowed down to two strong contenders but we haven't pulled the trigger yet on which one we like the most. We've decided that Baby Yarbrough will be named the day she is born, when we can get a good look at her. :) As for now, we're still taking suggestions so if you have any, please feel free to send them our way.

Doctor Update: We go see our doctor next Wednesday for our 27 week checkup.

Jermain Taylor Is In My Belly!

I have become a human punching bag. Last night, I slept for one whole hour while Baby Yarbrough went 12 rounds in the ring against my uterus and bladder! She's not even here yet and she's already keeping me up. So here's my question... will she be this wild and crazy once she's here? If so, please pray for us. :)

Long Live the Queen!

This post is a little past due but I wanted to give you an update on the Queen. As you know, Kevin's grandmother was named Queen at her local nursing home back in June and then she did it again at the District competition! She was announced Pageant Queen at the AHCA District I Pageant back in August, beating out 25 other lovely ladies. Now, she is on her way to the 2007 State Beauty Pageant to be held at Embassy Suites in Little Rock this coming November. Our whole family is obviously thrilled but not at all surprised at her title because she's always been a queen to us. Congratulations Grannie and Good Luck at State!

Making Progress

Now that we know Baby Yarbrough is Baby GIRL Yarbrough, we've started to work on her nursery. I finally found some bedding I like at Wal-Mart of all places! Her nursery colors will be pink and chocolate brown. Here's a picture.

We're fortunate to have such giving family and friends. My sister Stacie gave me this changing table...

Our friends Eric and Paige gave us this crib, which belonged to their daughter Emery - Baby Yarbrough's future sister-in-law!
The only thing we've had to buy is this armoire, which we found at Austin's Unpainted Furniture.
Now we just have to paint!
