23 Months
I haven't had a chance to blog in a while and we've done a lot of stuff in the last month so I thought I'd catch up. I hope you enjoy!
Anna just turned 23 months this past weekend. I can't believe she's almost 2! She's a talking machine these days. She's very good at telling you what she wants (and what she doesn't:) and she's very good at understanding what you're saying to her. She comprehends everything! She loves to sing, especially her ABC's and Itsy Bitsy Spider. She's spoiled rotten - everything is "mine" and she loves saying "no". Unfortunately Kevin and I really don't like hearing it. Even though she can be a little anry sometimes, she can also be the sweetest little girl. She loves to cuddle on the couch and she always tells us "i lav yu". Everytime I hear it it melts my heart. She's the best kid in the world and I know I say this all the time, but we are so lucky to have her.
Lindsey's 9th Birthday
Anna's cousin Lindsey just turned 9 and we celebrated her big day at Jump Zone. Anna had a lot of fun playing in the jump houses. At one point she almost knocked herself out! (I think it scared me and Kevin more than anything:)
Anna loves the birthday song. Her teacher told me that her and the other kids in her class sing Happy Birthday all day long. Soon we'll be singing it to Anna!!!
A Trip to the Zoo
My parents from Fort Smith came down for a quick visit and we decided to go to the zoo. We tried to do this last time they were in town but it was raining. This time, the weather was perfect and Anna is now old enough to really enjoy it.
Christmas threw up in our house!
We got a head start on Christmas decorating this year and started a week before Thanksgiving. (I got antsy!) This year was fun decorating because Anna was old enough to get involved and help. And she was a pro! She knew exactly what she was doing. Me, Kevin and Anna all decorated the family tree together and we had a good time doing it.
I stole a family tradition from Kevin's mom where each year I will get Anna a new Christmas ornament and hopefully try to relate it to something she's been in to that year. This year, I got her a Shrek and Donkey ornament because she LOVES Shrek. She watches it all the time so I thought it was fitting.
Like I said, Anna did a great job decorating. She only br4oke one ornament, which happens to be the one pictured below. She dropped it right after I took this picture:)
I love Christmas!!!
