Baby No-Name

A lot of you have been asking what Baby Yarbroughs name is and unfortunately, Kevin and I still have not decided. We have it narrowed down to two strong contenders but we haven't pulled the trigger yet on which one we like the most. We've decided that Baby Yarbrough will be named the day she is born, when we can get a good look at her. :) As for now, we're still taking suggestions so if you have any, please feel free to send them our way.

Doctor Update: We go see our doctor next Wednesday for our 27 week checkup.

Jermain Taylor Is In My Belly!

I have become a human punching bag. Last night, I slept for one whole hour while Baby Yarbrough went 12 rounds in the ring against my uterus and bladder! She's not even here yet and she's already keeping me up. So here's my question... will she be this wild and crazy once she's here? If so, please pray for us. :)

Long Live the Queen!

This post is a little past due but I wanted to give you an update on the Queen. As you know, Kevin's grandmother was named Queen at her local nursing home back in June and then she did it again at the District competition! She was announced Pageant Queen at the AHCA District I Pageant back in August, beating out 25 other lovely ladies. Now, she is on her way to the 2007 State Beauty Pageant to be held at Embassy Suites in Little Rock this coming November. Our whole family is obviously thrilled but not at all surprised at her title because she's always been a queen to us. Congratulations Grannie and Good Luck at State!

Making Progress

Now that we know Baby Yarbrough is Baby GIRL Yarbrough, we've started to work on her nursery. I finally found some bedding I like at Wal-Mart of all places! Her nursery colors will be pink and chocolate brown. Here's a picture.

We're fortunate to have such giving family and friends. My sister Stacie gave me this changing table...

Our friends Eric and Paige gave us this crib, which belonged to their daughter Emery - Baby Yarbrough's future sister-in-law!
The only thing we've had to buy is this armoire, which we found at Austin's Unpainted Furniture.
Now we just have to paint!

23 Week Doctor Appt.

I went to the doctor today and everything is going great! The first words out of my doctors mouth were "WOW! You've gotten big!" (I'll take that as a compliment.) Baby Girl Yarbrough is doing great and I told him how active she's been and how she keeps me up at night. I guess it's just practice for when she gets here. I go back October 17th and we'll do the gestational diabetes test! yee-haw!

Here's the latest of the growing belly!

Warrior Pride!!!

I recently got an email from an old friend from high school reminiscing about the days gone by (thanks MK) and I couldn't help but think of this picture. This picture was the trip the "Explorers" took to Six flags in 1994! To all of my fellow Warriors Class of '96, I hope all is well! Thanks for the memories!

Belly Update - 19 Weeks

Kevin wanted to show his belly too!

Future Razorback Fan

The day we found out we were having a sweet baby girl, Kevin went out and bought this pink Razorback toboggin and Razorback pacifier. I don't think this little girl has a choice on if she's going to be a Razorback fan... Kevin will make sure she is!

7 Years and still going strong!

Kevin and I celebrated our seven year anniversary this past Sunday. I can't believe it's already been seven years! Friday night we took a stroll down memory lane and went to the restaurant of our very first date, The Italian Couple. If you've never been there, it's kind of a dump but the food is really good. Then we went to the Afterthought in Hillcrest and saw the Big John Miller Band. We had a really good time reminiscing and also talking about what marriage was going to be like when Baby Yarbrough came along. I feel good knowing that after all we've been through, especially these past few years, we still love each other like it was the first day we met and even after seven years, he still knows how to sweep me off my feet.

Oh my gosh... the baby moved!!!

It's official! Baby Yarbrough has decided to make his or her presence known. S/he gave me a little tap yesterday morning while I was laying in bed, I guess just to say "Good Morning Mommy!" At first I couldn't believe it and chalked it up to be gas, but after talking to my grandma and my sister, I later realized it wasn't gas... it was Baby Yarbrough! What a neat feeling. Everyday just gets better and better!

Happy Birthday Nanny!

We celebrated my grandmother's 74th birthday this past Sunday. She's the best grandma in the world and she always has a good joke to tell. Here she is with Papa Ralph getting ready to blow out her candles. I love you Nanny! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Thanks for Visiting!

My father Terry and his wife Peggy and my sister Rachel came into town this weekend to visit. We had a BIG lunch at Mimi's and then went shopping. And thanks to them, I officially have baby clothes in my house. They bought me the cutest baby gowns, burp cloths and blanket. Of course, it's green so it can be used for either a boy or a girl. They also got me a baby name book with 50,000 names in it... that should help! Thanks for coming to visit you guys. It was great seeing you.

16 Week Checkup

Kevin and I went to the doctor this morning for our 16 week checkup and everything is looking good. I've gained one whole pound in three weeks! (I guess all that ice cream I've been eating hasn't stuck to my thighs yet!) We heard the baby's heartbeat, my favorite part of the visit. It was in the 130's and 140's and it sounded like train tracks. We go back on August 21st to find out if Baby Yarbrough is a he or a she. I can't wait!
