Reed's 1st Birthday Party

Our friends Eric and Paige's little boy, Reed, turned 1 last week and he had a pool party to celebrate! Miss Anna sported her two piece bikini and had fun splashing around in the kiddie pool.

5 Months Old

 

Anna is 5 months old now and look how big she's gotten! She's growing so fast! She weighs 14 pounds and is only getting bigger. Here's what she's been doing lately:

1. As of this week, she's started to eat baby food. She's only eaten peas so far but she really likes them. Next week we might try carrots! I love carrots, Kevin hates them so we'll see whose taste buds she's got!
2. She's sleeping A LOT better! This past week, she's actually been sleeping through the night which has been a blessing. She goes to bed at 8 on the dot and usually doesn't make a peep until morning. Even if she does wake up in the middle of the night, she can usually get herself back to sleep on her own. We've even eliminated her middle of the night feeding.
3. She's doing really good at daycare. She spends a lot of time playing in the floor or in the bounce bounce baby. She loves her teachers and they take great care of her. We're very fortunate to have her at such a good daycare.
4. She hasn't mastered rolling over yet. She turns on her side but she hasn't made it all the way over, but we're practicing.
5. Her favorite time is bath time. She loves to play with her rubber ducky!
6. She likes it when I read to her. She even tries to hold the book.
7. She's starting to hold her her own bottle. She still needs our help but I'm sure she'll have it mastered soon.
8. She doesn't like getting out of her routine! If there's anything out of the ordinary, she doesn't like it and she'll usually let us know about it at three in the morning!

Avery's 3rd Birthday Party

My niece Avery celebrated her 3rd birthday with a Backyardigans Birthday Party! Her birthday was actually a few weeks agon but she wouldn't let anyone sing Happy Birthday to her until her party. In fact, she wouldn't let us sing until everyone was outside and the cupcakes were out.

More Peas, Peas!

Anna had her first taste of "real" food this past Sunday. It was peas and she loved it!

Big Dam Bridge

Kevin, Anna, Abby and I spent Sunday afternoon walking The Big Dam Bridge. We've never been and the weather was perfect so we decided to take Anna on her first outdoors adventure. And since it was real sunny, she wore her shades and her hat! Doesn't she look cute!

We're still working on eating rice cereal from a spoon. Each day gets a little better.

My First Mother's Day

 

I had my very first Mother's Day this past Sunday and it was an incredible day. It's funny to think that this time last year, I found out a few days before Mother's Day that I was pregnant, and now I'm celebrating the day as a new mom. God has truly blessed me and Kevin with a sweet angel and I'm so proud to be her mom. Thank you Anna Baby for making every day so special.

Anna's New Move

Anna's 4 month check up went great. She now weighs 13 pounds 5 ounces and is 24 inches long. She's in the 50th percentile in every category. She's getting so big and to show what a big girl she's becoming, she did a new trick last night. Watch!

This was the first time she'd done that and I just happened to catch it on camera. How lucky was that!

She also ate rice cereal from a spoon... sort of.

4 Months Old!

 

Little Anna Banana Claire Bear is 4 months old today! WOW! Time flies! Here's some fun little facts about our Pooter Face:

1. After a rough month, she's finally starting to sleep a little better again. Now she's only waking up once, maybe twice during the night. During the day she eats about every 4 hours.

2. She's discovered her hands. She likes to suck on them, look at them and even grab things with them. She really likes her toys on her carseat the most.

3. She laughs... A LOT! She loves to smile and giggle. Everything makes her laugh.

4. She's eating a little bit of rice cereal at night and she really likes it.

5. She likes to sit in her bumbo seat - she thinks she's a big girl when she's sitting up.

She has her 4 month checkup on Tuesday so we'll let you know the official stats then.
