22 Months

I just realized that I haven't done Anna's 22 month update. She's pretty much doing the same stuff. Her vocabulary has gotten bigger and she's starting to form sentences. It's so funny hearing her say words that she doesn't quite get right. Kevin and I are always entertained. I guess the biggest adventure in our house is getting ready to potty train. Several kids in Anna's class are potty training or trained so we've been introducing the potty to her at home. She hasn't made any "masterpieces" in the potty yet but we're practicing. Last night all she wanted to do was sit on the potty. It was kinda funny because she would even pretend to wipe! Who knows, maybe by the time she's 2, we can say bye bye to diapers.

Randoms

Kevin brought home some flowers for his girls the other night. Anna thought they were very pretty.

I put the flowers at her table so she could watch them while she colored on her etch-a-sketch.

I bought Anna some sunglasses and ever since, the girl doesn't want to take them off!

I'm not kidding... This was her eating dinner last night!

Baking A Cake

The moment I've been waiting for since I found out I was having a girl when I was pregnant has finally happened... cooking with my daughter! Anna and I baked a cake together for a Halloween potluck at my work. She and I had the best time! And when it was all said and done, she and her daddy sat down and licked the bowl.

She wasn't a fan of the mixer. She thought it was too loud.

And this was the outcome...







 

The Yarbrough Family Pumpkins 2009

We carved our pumpkins last night. We started off with three pretty pumpkins but one was rotten so we only have two this year. But we made up for it with all of Anna's little baby pumpkins. :)

The final product... a cat and a bat. 

Mia's Birthday Party

Anna was invited to her first school birthday party. :) I don't know why this excites me because one day I'm sure I'll be saying "another birthday party, not again!" but since this was Anna's first birthday party, I thought it was special. It was for a girl in her class named Mia who turned 2 and it was at The Wonder Place. Anna had a blast playing with all of her friends and she absolutely LOVES the Wonder Place so she was in heaven.

Anna had so much fun and it just confirmed my thought of having her 2nd birthday party there. So mark your calendars - Sunday January 3rd from 3:30pm - 5:30pm, we'll celebrate Anna's 2nd Birthday at the Wonder Place! Yay!

Go Hogs!

Even thought the Razorbacks aren't doing so great right now, first getting the game STOLEN from them by Florida then just EMBARRASSING themselves at Ole Miss, we're still Hog Happy and our little Hogette loves to call those Hogs. Anytime she sees a razorback, she says "Woo Pig" with a growl then she throws here hands in the air and waves them (spirit fingers and all) and says Wooo Pig Sooie. Before long, she'll know all the words to the fight song. :)

Pumpkin Patch 2009

In keeping with the Yarbrough Family tradition, we headed out to the Pumpkin Patch again this year. We were all geared up to ride the hayride out to the actual pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin, but the line was so long we decided just to hang out and play instead. Maybe next year we can do the hayride.
