Day Care
Last week, Kevin and I toured a few day cares. Sure, we've got plenty of time to decide where we're going to keep our little tot while mommy and daddy bring home the bacon, but we wanted to get a jump start. The first one we visited we really liked. Very clean, friendly staff, lots of little friends for Baby Yarbrough. The second day care was AWFUL! Dirty facility, unsupervised children, just gross all around. Anyway, it just got me thinking. Picking a day care is going to be tough, not to mention expensive! So if anyone has any suggestions on a good day care in Little Rock, let me know. We need all the help we can get.

Hi Darla,
ReplyDeleteI know we never met before, but I thought I just going to introduce my self. I'm Imelda, Amy Cowan and Heather Dillard's friend. Anyway, I saw your blog thru Amy's. I'm also 14 weeks pregnant and we used to have the same doctor, Dr. Peggy Guard, but I guess you changed your doctor. Anyway, I just want to recommend some day cares, since me and my husband already visited some. Have you visit Hand in Hand Daycare in NLR, I really like them. They have camera in every classrooms that the parents can log in from work to watch their kids. I don't know where you live, but I heard from people at my work that the Kids Academy in Maumelle also nice. And the last one is the Child Development Center (CDC) in downtown, it runs by The First Methodist church. I like those three places, but the CDC has the longest waiting list. The next opening is Aug 2008. Anyway, good luck finding one, I hope my recommendations help.
Hi Darla,
ReplyDeleteI saw your blog through my friend Imelda's blog and I am the friend of hers that swears by Kids Academy in Maumelle. Please go in and tell them that Sydney's mom, Heather sent you. I had to put my baby in daycare at 6 weeks and was so sad, but they were so good to me and to Sydney. She is now 3 and has had such a wonderful experience. Most of her friends in her class were in the baby room with her and it is so fun to watch them all grow up together. One set of her friends are twins and their mom is a teacher. All the mom's I talk to love it. They will love your baby girl, not just take care of her.
