7 Weeks Old

Looks like Daddy caught us taking a catnap! Every morning after I feed Anna, we snuggle in the bed for a while. This is one of the things I'll miss the most when I go back to work in a week! :(

6 Weeks

Imelda to the rescue!

Anna and I had our first solo outing yesterday and it was... interesting. We met my friends Heather and her son Luke and Imelda and her son Lucas at Dixie Cafe and it was definitely a sight to see... 3 girls with babies and baby carriers! Talk about making an entrance! Anyway, Anna decided she was hungry as soon as we got to the restaurant, and she let everybody know it! Unfortunately I did not bring a bottle and I wasn't prepared to breastfeed her in public. Luckily Imelda came prepared. She let Anna have one of Lucas' bottles of formula. It was Anna's first time for a formula bottle and the first time for me to give her a bottle. I thought she might be a little confused, but she wasn't. She sucked it down like a pro!

Anna's First Valentine's Day

Anna greeted her Daddy at the door wearing her "I Love Daddy" shirt. She also got him a card and a picture frame that says "My Heart Belongs To Daddy"

5 Weeks

Our progress this week... SMILING!!! And it melts my heart every time.

Anna's First Bottle

Kevin gave Anna her first bottle this week and they both loved it! He enjoyed being able to feed her, she enjoyed it becuase she'll take the milk from anything and anyone, and frankly, I enjoyed the break!

Look Who's One Month Old!!!

Anna is one month old today and I can't believe it. What a wonderful month it's been. She does something new everyday and I love watching her grow and figure out the world around her. Kevin and I feel very lucky to have her in our lives and we look forward to what lies ahead... hopefully more sleep!

A Visit from Poppy, Grammy & Aunt Rachel

Anna's grandparents from Fort Smith (now officially known as Poppy and Grammy) and my sister Rachel and her husband Greg came to visit us this Saturday. Anna loved being held all day.

4 Weeks

3 Weeks Old

We're three weeks in and I'm a walking zombie. Anna has her days and nights confused so she sleeps all day and parties all night... I remember those days!!! Oh, and she won't sleep unless you're holding her. As soon as I think she's asleep and I go to put her to bed, she starts crying. She's still precious though.

We broke down and bought some preemie outfits b/c nothing fits her and I was tired of putting her in the shirts we stole from the hospital. As fast as she's growing though, I'm sure she'll grow out of this very soon. We are both exhausted!

Thank You MeMe!

Kevin's mom came and stayed with us Wednesday to help me out with Anna Claire. She was a tremendous help and Anna loved being taken care of by her MeMe... and I loved being able to catch a few extra hours of sleep. THANK YOU MEME!!!

Two Weeks

It's been two weeks since Anna was born and we're finally getting adjusted to our new little addition. She's sleeping a little longer through the night but I look forward to the day she sleeps all the way through the night. Kevin goes back to work this week and I'm a little nervous about taking care of Anna by myself. However, I am looking forward to just Mommy and daughter time.
